Honor the Memories of 2 Extremely Talented Rugby Players

Saturday, December 1st at the Alden Bridge Sports Fields on SH242

We plan for this to be a FULL day of rugby with the finale being the memorial match at 7PM.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS MATCH:

Garrett Soileau was a rugby player for Arkansas State and lost his life December 15, 2017. Quinn Noel was a rugby player for Texas Tech and lost his life January 31, 2017. Both of these extremely talented and passionate young men began their love for rugby right here in The Woodlands playing for the Woodlands Youth Rugby Club coached by Phil Beck. It is our desire for these two teams to come together each year for a friendly cup match honoring these fallen ruggers. Any money raised on this day will be split between the two universities and donated to the rugby program in Garrett and Quinn's honor.

3:00PM - Woodlands Girls vs. Katy and Kingwood in a round robin.

5:00PM - Woodlands Rugby Football Club Men's vs Houston Arrows

7:00PM - Soileau-Quinn Memorial Cup Match between Arkansas State and Texas Tech

It will be a great day of rugby, food, camaraderie, and to top it all off we are honoring the memory of Garrett and Quinn and raising money for each of their college rugby programs.

Entry fee is $5.00 per person and can be paid at the gate or in advance on this website under SHOP tab.

We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs, have jambalaya and have other concessions and drinks.
